The Menopause Inclusion Collective are calling on UN Women to prioritise menopause.

Our submission towards the sixty-sixth Comission on the Staus of Women (#CSW66) highlights the substantial barriers faced by those going through the menopausal transition.

We used the opportunity to reflect on progress made within Scotland, Wales, and England; not least the 2019 debate in Scottish Parliament led by Christina McKelvie , the MakeMenopauseMatter campaign by Diane Danzebrink and team of stalwart menopause activists and countless others have been involved in campaigning for change and advancing acknowledgment of the menopause movements, including WEN Wales, Wales TUC, Rachel Mclean MP

The sixty-sixth session of the Commission on the Status of Women will take place from 14 to 25 March 2022.

Representatives of Member States, UN entities, and ECOSOC-accredited non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from all regions of the world will be attending this session on the themes of

Priority theme: Achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls in the context of climate change, environmental and disaster risk reduction policies and programmes;

Review theme: Women’s economic empowerment in the changing world of work (agreed conclusions of the sixty-first session)
